28: A Real Life Adult Flower Girl with Molly Ford of Flowers by Ford

Molly Ford is the florist and business owner of Flowers by Ford, which she runs together with her husband out of Bushwick, Brooklyn. What began as an Instagram which Molly started in 2019, quickly grew in the pandemic (and out of their railroad style apartment no less!), and has since flourished into a full-fledged floral business of which clients include the New York Botanical Garden, La Mer, AnnaSophia Robb, Charles Kieth, and so many others. 

In this episode, we discuss how Molly’s imaginative childhood shaped her love for art and nature from an early age, the role Instagram played in the growth of her business, what it’s like at the NY flower market before sunrise, and how she approaches client work across a range of projects including fashion shows, editorial, home deliveries, and weddings. It was inspiring to chat with Molly and learn about her journey.
